Student Health Center Locations

Our beautiful main campus Student Health Center is centrally located between the Flanagan building and Joyner East.

We also have a second location, on the second floor of the Health Sciences Student Center.

SHS cannot provide personal transportation. ECU Transit operates several buses both around campus and out to some student housing complexes that drop off at various campus locations. For current routes and schedules, visit the ECU Student Transit Authority. Students seeking service who do not feel they can walk need to arrange transportation via personal vehicle. Students too ill to come to either SHS by the aforementioned means should call 911 for EMS transport to the hospital.

Parking is limited and ECU parking rules are enforced in the lots adjacent to both Student Health Services locations. If a designated Student Health Services parking spot is utilized at our main campus location, a parking permit must be obtained upon arrival from our front office staff. At the Health Sciences Student Center, metered parking is available in the lot off MacGregor Downs Road.

ECU runs a fully accessible transportation system which can assist students with both temporary and permanent mobility impairments. Depending on the severity of the condition, students may be eligible for Pirate Access, an additional support for navigating campus. Pirate Access applications may be completed here

Faculty and Staff with temporary impairments should contact the ADA Coordinator at (252) 737-1018 or

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service animals are permitted in university facilities. Emotional support animals do not meet the definition of a service animal and are not permitted in either SHS facility per university policy.
