At the Center for Student Leadership and Engagement, we embrace the pillars of leadership for East Carolina University: Knowledge, Relationships, Ethics, Well-Being & Service. Once you graduate, you can continue to live out the tenants of these pillars. We have come up with some excellent ways to stay involved after graduation, display responsible citizenship in your daily life, and practice dynamic leadership as pirate alumnus.
Engaging in Leadership for a Lifetime:
Stay engaged with ECU by joining the East Carolina Alumni Association.
Join a board of directors for a local non-profit agency.
Join local branches of volunteer organizations for your community.
Vote in local, state, and national elections.
Run for a local political office.
Serve as a mentor for our current ECU leaders.
Become active in a local chapter of a national organization (i.e. Habitat for Humanity)
Staying Engaged at ECU
Do you own a local business that we could visit during our emerging leaders program? Are you working for/with a local agency that needs additional volunteers? Do you have a personal story that would help guide the leaders of tomorrow? If so contact us at email@example.com.
Perpetuating Pirate Pride
Write to us and tell us what you're doing to practice positive change in your personal and/or professional life! We will be highlighting accomplishments of our alumni in a bi-annual e-newsletter. If you would like to be featured, or would like to receive this e-newsletter please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
