Greek Life

The East Carolina University Office of Greek Life promotes lifelong learning and friendship opportunities as well as ways to get involved in community service programs and events.  The various fraternities and sororities offer leadership and career skills training programs as well as multiple networking opportunities designed to help you develop your career goals.

About East Carolina

For more than a century, East Carolina University has served the people of North Carolina and the nation. From modest beginnings as a school for training teachers, ECU has grown to become an emerging national research university with an enrollment of nearly 28,000 students.

Transit

ECUSTA operates during the academic year, beginning the first day of class of each semester and summer school session. Service is free for students, staff and faculty; all you need to ride is your 1Card. Note that there is a reduced service area during the summer sessions. ECUSTA does not operate on holidays, reading days, or during school breaks.

Bicycles

Bicycle registration is free and easy!  Parking and Transportation Services, located at 305 E. Tenth Street (directly beside McDonald's) will be happy help you register for a bicycle decal.

The East Carolina University Police Department is committed to reducing bicycle theft and vandalism. We encourage bicycle owners to properly lock their bikes at designated areas.

Safe Ride

Safe Ride, a division of the East Carolina University Student Transit Authority, is a point to point van service that operates to supplement the bus transit system and provide a safe means of transportation to students, faculty and staff in the service area.
