Both at Camp P.I.R.A.T.E.S. and P.A.R.O.T., you’ll participate in activities designed to help you develop new friendships, learn more about resources on campus, embrace Pirate spirit and traditions, and become part of the Pirate family.
Camp P.I.R.A.T.E.S. and P.A.R.O.T. focus on your first-year experience, campus involvement, leadership opportunities, history and traditions, and of course, getting to know your fellow Pirates! Along with preparing you for your first year as a Pirate, there is time to hang out and get to know each other.
Slime Olympics! S'mores and campfires! Archery and Paddle Boarding! Staying in cabins! Camp P.I.R.A.T.E.S. is all of this and more!!
Camp P.I.R.A.T.E.S. is a three-day, two-night program that will take place at Camp Don Lee in Arapahoe, NC. Students will ride buses from the ECU campus to the camp where they will stay in cabins.

Rock climbing, canoeing, or backpacking. Wild owl calls at night. Views only seen from 60 feet above the ground. Camping in tents away from civilization. No experience is needed to join the P.A.R.O.T. adventure.
Explore all that North Carolina has to offer, from paddling in the sublime beauty of eastern North Carolina water trails, to backpacking a gorge in the western mountains to scaling high rock faces in the central part of our great state.
