Campuses across the state are developing transfer student units and services as a means of addressing the unique needs of the transfer student population. As a result of the increase in this population, and the need to better understand the diverse needs of transfer students, East Carolina University hosts a statewide conference that focuses specifically on transfer students. A key component of the conference is transfer professionals sharing innovative initiatives that address transfer student needs.
