Pirate Access

ECU Transit offers additional support for our riders with permanent or temporary mobility impairments through a new service called Pirate Access. This service operates cooperatively with Disability Support Services and the Dean of Students Office, and requires certification by a healthcare provider before you can begin using it.

Obtaining Certification

To become certified for Pirate Access, you should first complete the Pirate Access Application Form found below. More information about Pirate Access is available in the Pirate Access Guide (PDF). If you have any questions not covered by this guide or just need assistance getting started, please feel free to contact us by phone at 252-328-7433 or by e-mail at
