Student Affairs at ECU

Student Affairs provides programs and services that optimize student learning and leadership, builds a safe supportive and welcoming campus community, fosters the emotional growth and personal development of students, and makes a positive contribution to the overall student experience.

ECU’s Division of Student Affairs actively supports the University's missions of education, research, and service by providing comprehensive programs and services to assist each student in developing intellectually, socially, morally, physically, personally, and culturally.  Student Affairs offers a broad range of support services, activities, and programs that seek to enhance the learning environment, optimize the student experience, and accommodate the diverse needs of all students.

The VSLC is a unit located within the Department of Student Involvement and Leadership (SIL).  Student Involvement and Leadership is committed to enhancing the educational experience of all students and building a sense of campus community through a wide variety of programs and services.  Through a broad range of co-curricular, cultural, educational, recreational, and social programs, SIL supports the university in achieving its mission of being the cultural center of the region.  SIL is the primary contact point for students through the Center for Student Leadership, the Office of Student Involvement & Activities, the Student Organization Center, the Student Government Association, the Volunteer and Service-Learning Center, the Ledonia Wright Cultural Center and the Office of Greek Life.
