It's a Pirate's Life for Me!
Living on-campus can be a key element in student success, so Campus Living would like to invite all current students to sign-up for living on-campus for the 2012-2013 Academic Year.
Why sign up? The convenience of being able to leave your room, enjoy a great meal, and make it to your class on time. The ease of having everything you need to succeed academically at your fingertips. The excitement of being part of the community at the very heart of the pirate nation! The building of lasting friendships and strong ties to campus. With all of these benefits, plus many more, it's easy to see why so many are choosing to live on campus.
The return housing process for students is online, by using the available link after logging onto their ECU One Stop site- onestop.ecu.edu under the Student Life Section of the Tools screen- select Campus Living-Housing and proceed to the sign-up site. We waive the application fee for returning students, so the only fee to pay by credit card is the $100 Advanced Room Fee (credited towards Spring 2013 room charges) as you submit a contract to reserve a space.

Online Contracting Dates
Contracting starts Friday, February 3 and continues through February 13 at midnight for those wishing to select their current room or wish to select a different room and/or building (see room selection schedule.) The contracting period continues on February 14 at noon for those who wish to select a different room and/or building on the schedule below:
Online Room Selection Dates (9 AM - 9 PM Each Day)
- February 16th - February 17th: Same Hall Different Room for the following buildings: Clement, Cotten, Scott, Tyler, White, and College Hill Suites.
- February 20th - February 21st: Priority Group (Students in this category should have received an e-mail letting them know their room selection dates.)
- February 23rd - February 29th: Any Hall Any Room - Current Campus Living Students wishing to change halls or neighborhoods for the next year.
- February 28th - February 29th: Any Hall Any Room - Off-Campus Students wishing to live on campus for the next year.
Room Selection and Roommate Requests: When you select a room if you have a mutually requested roommate, your requested roommate will also be placed in the room you selected. However, if you decide to switch to a different room/hall, your requested roommate will not be moved. Therefore, students should communicate with their requested roommate on room selection. Students who electronically sign a contract and DO NOT select a specific room will have a room selected for them after February 29, 2012. If you wish to have an incoming student as a roommate, please contact Campus Living at 252-328-4663 as soon as you make your room selection.
Not Sure? You can sign up at this time, select a room, and cancel your contract without penalty up until May 31, 2012. So, if you are not sure where you want to live in the fall, you can always sign a contract, select a room and decide later. Please note that we highly recommend you to sign up at this time as it might prevent us from offering housing to returning students who apply late or during the summer due to the new freshmen residency policy that will be in affect starting Fall 2012.
Changing my room selection? There will be opportunities in mid-February and later in March to make changes to your room assignment, but to have the best selection; students should take advantage of the specific room selection date stated above.
