Campus Living will begin taking a waiting list for students with ACTIVE contracts via E-MAIL ONLY after the 2nd Chance process is over.  Starting March 31, 2008 students can e-mail housing@ecu.edu from their official ECU e-mail account and request they be added to the College Hill Suites waiting list. Students wanting to remain on the waiting list should pay their advance room fee.

The sign-up College Hill Suites will be online, along with all other on campus spaces. The links and access information for the online process will be sent next week.

Campus Living would like to announce to changes to the current smoking policy-

Starting with 1^st Summer Session 2008- All interior spaces in ECU Campus Living will be non-smoking. There will no longer be smoking allowed in any student rooms. 

Starting August 1, 2008 - Smoking will not be allowed within 25 feet of residence hall steps, entry areas, porches, breezeways, courtyards and windows to match the campus wide smoking policy.

If someone who smokes chooses to reside on campus for the Academic Year 2008-2009, they will not be allowed to smoke in their room or within 25 feet of any residence hall. Students that violate this policy can be administratively moved to another residence hall, or face other judicial action.

Students need to log on and electronically sign their contract, and then the following week select a room.

·         March 17-21: (Starting 10 am on March 17 and ending at 11 pm on March 21)

o   Students should electronically sign their 2008-09 Academic Year Contract during this time

·         March 24-28:   (10 AM - 5 PM EACH DAY) :

o   Room Selection with the opportunity to room change

·         Students who electronically sign a contract and DO NOT select a specific room will have a room selected for them after March 28, 2008.   

College Hill Suites Waiting List:

• The 2008-09 Campus Living Contract requires all students to have a meal plan, there is a $400 Pirate Bucks Plan (minimum) for students who would like a smaller plan. Please visit the Campus Dining web site for more information on meal plans.
• We highly encourage all students to read and understand the  Campus Living Contract for the 2008-2009 Academic Year before signing up for a space.
  
• Returning students who sign up for on campus housing, do not need to pay an application fee again.  The $100 Advanced Room Fee is due by April 1, 2008 to keep your reserved space for fall 2008.
• If you would like to select an incoming freshman as your new roommate, contact Campus Living at 328-4663 before you select your room online. Current students may be selected as a roommate as part of the Online  sign-up process.
• Fleming Hall, White Hall and College Hill Suites will be upper division halls for the 08-09 academic year. Belk will notbe an upper division hall for the 08-09 academic year.
