Advanced Climber/Belaying

A belay workshop and belay test is required to become an advanced climber.  The belay workshop teaches the skills required to belay, which is the process of controlling the climber's rope. The belay certification/test is free and a score of 100% is needed to pass. Approved advanced climbers may use their own climbing harness and may belay other climbers. However advanced climbers may not allow beginners to belay. Climbers who already know how to belay only need to take the belay test.

Group Climbing

If you are looking for something different for your group or special event, then give us a call.  We offer private climbing sessions during non-peak times.  Sessions generally last two hours depending upon the size of the group and can accommodate 10-15 people per session.  It makes for a great RA program, sorority/fraternity meeting, birthday party, or youth climbing day. Please contact us at least 2 weeks prior to your desired date. Email adventure@ecu.edu for details.
