Step Up to the Plate
Date
February 1– April 11
Purpose
Step Up to the Plate is a 10– week incentive program created to promote a healthy lifestyle through aquatic fitness. The program will target the East Carolina University community and take place at the Student Recreation Center. This program is open to all SRC members.
Registration
Each person must complete and submit a registration form before starting this program. Registration can be completed and participation can begin at any time during the program. Registration forms can be found at the SRC customer service desk, main office or with a lifeguard.
Goal
As a player, you want to hit a home run every time you step up to home plate. With this incentive program, we are encouraging all of you to hit home runs with fitness. You will keep track of all your runs (fitness hours) and hopefully earn enough runs in the end to be rewarded for your effort.
How to earn a Homerun
* Every time you come to the pool keep track of your time.
* Participants are limited to receiving credit for a maximum of 30 minutes per day.
* Each aquatic participant will be responsible for logging his/her minutes. Logging time can be completed by reporting the number of minutes you have spent in the pool, with the date, by your name in the clipboard at the lifeguard station.
* Every 10 hours, you earn a run and your name is entered into the final drawing.
Prizes
If you step up to the plate and hit a homerun in fitness you have a chance to win an autographed baseball helmet and tickets to see the Pirates play.
