Results: ECU defeated UNCW 1-0
The lady pirates traveled to Wilmington on Sunday, September 14th to play a physical match in the 95 degree heat. With try-outs just ending for both teams it was the first chance to see what each team has to offer. Natalie Amato #26 helped the Pirates to a 1-0 lead early on in the match with a beautiful goal scored from well outside the 18. Keeper Meagan Johnson had a shutout, stopping all three of the balls that got past the tough defense of Krista Perrotti, Sam Lee, Christine Perez, and Kim Pavlak.
The game was cut short after a hard collision between midfielder Erin O'Brien #11 and a UNCW player, landing Erin in the hospital with a strained neck. With a couple days recovery she'll be ready to play in this weekend's match at home against the UNC rams. Come out and support the team at 1 pm Sunday afternoon at the new North Rec Complex!

The lady pirates hosted the always tough Chapel Hill Rams on Sunday, September 21st. Kim Pavlak, Christine, Perez, Krista Perrotti, and Jessica Snyder started out the defense with keeper Meagan Johnson to completely shut down the rams offense holding them to zero goals. The first goal was scored from a great build up from mid-fielder Erin O'Brien to forward Regina Driscoll who then gave a through ball to Dani Berrone for the finish. The second goal was had by Regina Driscoll after a deflected shot by Erin O'brien. With a 2-0 lead the pirates had the momentum going into the second half. Defense continued to fight hard against the rams quick offense as midfielder's Natalie Salovich, Chelsea Hall, and Natalie Amato kept the ball at the feet of the pirates. Later in the second half a header was scored by Regina Driscoll from a cross by Erin O'Brien to secure the victory for ECU. The lady pirates are now 2-0 and will prepare for next weeks' game at Elon
9/28 results. ECU 1 @ ELON 1
The pirates goal was scored off of a corner kick by Erin O'Brien to Regina Driscoll for the header and the finish by Kristen McDaniel. At the end of regulation ECU was prepared to go into overtime, but Elon refused to do so, ending the match with a tie. The lady pirates play this Sunday against Duke and Wake Forest in Durham.

10/26 ECU (3) vs. UNC heels (2)
The Pirates went up early in the first half with a deflection off the heels defense after Erin O'Brien's passed ball through the front line. Later in the half a great one-two play between the forwards Ashlea Austin and Meg Miemiec put the pirates up by two. Going into the second half the Pirates were leading 2-1 but the game was tied up quickly by Carolina. With eight minutes remaining midfielder Jennifer Streeter dropped the ball to Regina Driscoll outside the 18 for a one touch game winning goal. The great defense of the Pirates was able to keep the Heels at bay and take the win. The Pirates look forward to Regional play in Statesboro, Georgia this coming weekend where they look to qualify for nationals.
10/31-11/2 Regional Tournament in Statesboro, GA
The ECU Women's Soccer Club earned a bid and traveled to Statesboro, GA to compete in the Regional Tournament on the weekend of October 31st-November 2nd. They played very well and made it to the semifinals where they were eliminated by Duke. Their performance was noticed by various officials and they earned a bid to the National Tournament to be contested the weekend before Thanksgiving. The results of the Regional Tournament were:

11/09 ECU hosts Campbell
On November 9th, the ECU Women's Club Soccer team hosted Campbell University. They won with relative ease, 7-2, in preparation for a doubleheader the following weekend in which they will face North Carolina State and Appalachian State Univ.
11/16 Doubleheader at NCSU
On November 16th the ECU Women's Club Soccer team traveled to North Carolina State University to compete in a doubleheader against NC State and Appalachian State Univ. The results were:

11/20-23 NIRSA National Open Tournament
From November 20th-23th the ECU Women's Club Soccer Team competed in the NIRSA Open National Tournament. They received a bid to the National Tournament after competing in the Regional Tournament and showing that they could compete with other nationally recognized schools. The team went undefeated making it to the finals, and eventually took second place in the tournament. The results of the tournament were:
