Parents Association The East Carolina University Parents Association was formed in the 1980s, and is the voice of all ECU parents. As the parent/guardian of an ECU student, you are automatically a member of the Parents Association and join more than 30,000 others as “Pirate Parents” in support of student success. The Parents Association is Governed by the ECU Parents Council which actively works to: • Serve as a liaison between all ECU parents, administration, and faculty by communicating the needs and concerns of parents/guardians. • Actively encourages all parents/guardians to give annually to the Parents Fund.
