The Department for Disability Support Services (DSS) is responsible for ensuring that individuals with disabilities have access to reasonable accommodations and services.  Registration with DSS is required if the individual wishes to access reasonable accommodations.  Registration is easy, to begin click the "Students Requesting Accommodations" or "Faculty/Staff Requesting Accommodations" links to the left.

 
Publication Statement

Individuals who publicize University sponsored events such as lectures, conferences, plays, and concerts, should include the following statement on all brochures, e-mails, and announcements:

Individuals requesting accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) should contact the Department for Disability Support Services at least 48 hours prior to the event at (252) 737-1016 (Voice/TTY)).

 
Syllabus Statement

This statement should be included on all syllabi:
