Our Mission

The mission of the Department for Disability Support Services is to provide support services to individuals with disabilities that will enable them to access programs, services, facilities, and activities of the university; to enhance disability awareness among students, staff, and faculty; and to provide academic courses.

Publication Statement

Individuals who publicize University sponsored events such as lectures, conferences, plays, and concerts, should include the following statement on all brochures, e-mails, and announcements:

Individuals requesting accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) should contact the Department for Disability Support Services at least 48 hours prior to the event at (252) 737-1016 (Voice/TTY)).

Syllabus

This statement should be included on all syllabi:
