ECU PANHELLENIC FORMAL RECRUITMENT SCHEDULE
AUGUST 18-24, 2008
The kick-off for sorority recruitment will be held on Monday, August 18th at 9:30 AM in Hendrix Theater located in Mendenhall Student Center. It is imperative that you be at this meeting so that you understand the schedule and get acquainted with your recruitment counselor (Pi Chi). Please review the schedule and let us know if you have any questions!!!!

SORORITY CONVOCATION
This meeting will be to review the recruitment schedule and for you to meet your Pi Chi (Recruitment Counselor) that will be your guide during the recruitment process. You will be introduced to the nine Panhellenic sororities that we have on campus and ask any questions regarding the schedule. We will then proceed to get on the bus to begin Meet & Greek Day!
SORORITY MEET AND GREET:
After convocation, we will be transporting you to the Hilton where you will get better acquainted with all nine sororities. You will spend 20 minutes with each chapter. Dress is casual!
Party 1: 11:30- 11:50 PM
Party 2: 12:05-12:25
Party 3: 12:40-1:00
Party 4: 1:15-1:35
Party 5: 1:50-2:10
Party 6: 2:25-2:45
Party 7: 3:00-3:20
Party 8: 3:35-3:55
Party 9: 4:10-4:30
4:45 PM: Once we are done with the day we will transport you to the Computer lab in Mendenhall for meetings with your Pi Chi and to select parties for the next round.
*TUESDAY, AUGUST 19TH AT 9:00 AM (STADIUM/MINGES FOR ROLL CALL):
HOUSE TOUR/FINANCIAL DAY
This round of events will give you the opportunity to tour a maximum of seven of the sorority houses. During the time you will learn about the history of the houses as well as find our more about the financial aspect of joining each of the sororities. These parties are 35 minutes in length and will give you an idea of why these women call this their home away from home! Dress is casual!

Party 3: 11:30- 12:05
Lunch on your own: 12:05 – 1:30

THERE ARE NO EVENTS HELD ON WEDNESDAY OR THURSDAY DUE TO THE BEGINNING OF CLASSES! WE RESUME ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON!
*FRIDAY, AUGUST 22ND AT 4:00 PM (STADIUM/MINGES FOR ROLL CALL) :
PHILANTHROPY DAY:
This round will give you an opportunity to learn about about the sorority’s philanthropic projects and the important role it plays in each chapter. There is a maximum of five parties on this day. Dress is casual!
Party 1: 4:30-5:10
Party 2: 5:35-6:15
Party 3: 6:40-7:20
Party 4: 7:45-8:25
Party 5: 8:50-9:30
9:40 PM: Meeting with Pi Chi and selections made for next round.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 23RD AT 2:00 PM (STADIUM/MINGES FOR ROLL CALL)
PREFERENCE DAY:
The final round of events will let you in on the more serious side of sorority life. There is a maximum of three parties this day and each party is 50 minutes in length. Listen carefully throughout each ceremony; the women are revealing the strongest characteristics of their particular chapter. Dress is business casual or semi-formal attire!
Party 1: 2:30-3:20
Party 2: 3:45-4:35
Party 3: 5:00-5:50
6:00 PM: Preference Card signing!
*SUNDAY, AUGUST 24TH AT 10:30 AM TO RECEIVE YOUR BIDS:
BID DAY!
Dress is casual (you will be receiving a Bid Day t-shirt from your new sorority!) The next chapter of your life starts today by receiving your bids and joining us in Greek Life!
