Federal Work Study - for details click on "Students" move cursor to "Federal Work Study" and select "Fall 08 - Spring 09".

Mandatory Direct Deposit– Don’t forget all student employees need to sign up for direct deposit.  The mandatory direct deposit program was implemented August 1, 2008.  All ECU student employees must have a valid checking or savings account to receive their paycheck electronically.  This is a state-wide PACE (President's Advisory Committee on Efficiency & Effectiveness) initiative supported by the entire UNC system.  Student employees may choose any financial institution they want as long as the financial institution accepts direct deposit.  Full details are available at www.ecu.edu/cs-studentlife/hireapirate/upload/Mandatory_Direct_Deposit_July_08.pdf.

Welcome to the Student Employment Office (SEO)!

Mission: the Student Employment Office strives to enhance educational employment experiences by providing timely, accurate, and proactive services to students, employers and the campus community.

Vision: the Student Employment Office will become a leader in the delivery of student employment services by offering centralized job postings, comprehensive business practices, and expanded resources and trainings to our constituents.

SEO provides support to the entire campus community throughout the hiring process of student workers and is the central repository for all ECU student employee I-9 forms.

All ECU student employees are required to provide valid employment verification documents (examples of the most commonly used documents are drivers license and social security card, or passport) when completing an I-9 form on or before their first day of work. Failure to provide this documentation in a timely manner may delay the student’s payroll process. To view a complete list of acceptable documents for employment verification purposes, please visithttp://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-9.pdf#page=4.

SEO also maintains an online job database, Career Connections, to help ECU students connect with part-time job opportunities, both on and off campus. New jobs are posted every day. To access these job listings you must be a current ECU student with a valid Banner ID. Students must register online by creating an account in Career Connections

SEO is located in Fletcher Residence Hall next to West End Dining Hall (near the downtown area). Please direct all inquiries to: Phone: 737-4473
