Welcome to the training site for East Carolina University Student Employees!
- These workshops were created with you and your employment needs specifically in mind.
- Completion of the trainings will enable you to enhance your on-campus employment experience.
- Each topic includes a power point presentation along with the necessary supplemental materials. Please print off the appropriate materials as indicated to follow along with each session.
- At the conclusion of your training, be sure to submit a copy of your completed worksheet to your supervisor.
Note to Supervisors: As your student employees conclude their online training, we encourage you to review their worksheets with them to further develop their training experience. It’s recommended that you help them specifically identify how their newly acquired skills can be directly applied to your department.
Student Employee Online Workshops: - The Key to Great Customer Service (PPT)
The purpose of this training is to provide you with all the basics about customer service – what it is, how to use it and ways to make it a part of your everyday work experience!
- Telephone Do’s & Don’ts (PPT)
During this training experience, you’ll learn how to properly answer the phone, transfer calls, take messages and provide accurate information to your callers as well as office staff.
- Confidentiality in the Workplace (PPT)
This training is designed to provide you with the resources necessary to effectively and confidently handle issues of confidentiality.
- Work Place Etiquette (PPT)
Basic information you need to know to be successful in the workplace.
