City Ordinances
Arsk, Mateys! Read and Obey the Pirate Code:
- Ye must be 21 to posess or consume grog (or ale or wine or any other intoxicating drink).
- Beware the location where ye leave yer vessel. Ye must have a permit to drop anchor on some streets. Dock it not on the left side of the road. Better to dock in a parking lot or a driveway (not the grass or dirt).
- When jogging or walking the plank, make sure yer dog be on a leash. Greenville’s leash law also requires they don’t run free from yer house or yard.
- Critters must bear the markings of an annual license tag and have had shots to prevent disease.
- Don’t lose yer gold. Tossing litter or household trash overboard on any street, sidewalk, or other property results in the coiifiscation of yer treasure - $50 at a time.
- Real pirates only live for the thunder and screams of an attack or cheering on other pirates. Make too much noise and it may cost ye $50 on up to $500.
- Keep yer yard ship-shape. Grass taller than 12 inches could result in fines or 30 lashes.
- Leave the firearms to the constables. It be against the law and the pirate code to fire a cannon or any other firearm in the City.

Neighborhood Code Violations
The following items are Zero Tolerance Policies regarding city ordinances - means that the Greenville Police Department and Code Enforcement Officers will frequently patrol and strictly enforce City Ordinances.* (No Warnings!!!)

- It is illegal to park on unimproved surfaces, on the sidewalk, or on the wrong side of the street (driver's door facing curb). Ticketing or illegally parked cars are towed at the owner's expense.
- It is illegal to throw or deposit upon any street or sidewalk, or upon any private property, any type of litter of household trash. This can result in a minimum $50 fine.
- Greenville has a noise ordinance that applies to all parts of the city. Anyone who want to exceed the allowed decibel level must apply for a permit to exceed.
- It is unlawful to discharge a firearm within city limits.
