Inquiries about lost property may be made in-person or by calling Investigations at (252) 737-2626. Information on all items received by the ECU Police Department are kept in a database. When making telephone inquiries, it is important to leave your name, phone number, and a description of the item you're calling about so an officer will be able to contact you. Also, keep in mind that not all items lost on campus will be turned in to the Police Department.

DISCLAIMER: All unclaimed, found property that is turned in to the ECU Police Department will be kept for 180 days (60 days for bicycles) and then disposed of pursuant to NCGS - Article 2 - Record and Disposition of Seized, etc. Articles. Items set for auction will be turned over to www.propertyroom.com and the proceeds will be distributed to the Pitt County School Board.

To report lost property on ECU campus, please complete the online form below. If the item is recovered you will be notified as soon as possible. We make every effort to identify and contact the owner of all property that has been turned into us. Please be sure that your address and phone number are accurate in the University's records. You can check and update your contact information by logging onto OneStop, clicking the link "Banner Self Service", and then "Personal Information".

We can't return your property unless we know how to reach you!
