Report a Crime
If you notice suspicious behavior or know of a crime that has occurred or is occurring on campus, we would like for you to report it by completing the online form below. Your report will be sent to us via e-mail where it will be forwarded to the appropriate division in our police department for follow-up.
Please note: you are completing the following questionnaire under a condition of anonymity. If you wish that we contact you, enter your contact e-mail address at the bottom of the form. All information is kept confidential.
For crimes in progress dial 911 or ECU Dispatch (252) 328-6787 immediately!
Following are signs and behavior to look for that may be suspicious:
- A person running.
- A stranger carrying property.
- A person going door-to-door in a building or a residential area.
- Any person forcibly entering a locked vehicle, dorm room, or even a classroom.
- Business transactions being conducted from a vehicle.
- One or more persons sitting in a parked car exhibiting unusual behavior.
- A juvenile or female being forced into a vehicle.
- A person exhibiting unusual mental or physical symptoms.
- Unusual noises.
