The Student Government Association (SGA)
All East Carolina University students are members of the Student Government Association (SGA), which is the official representative governing body for ECU students. The purposes of the SGA is to provide a means for responsible and effective student participation in the organization and control of student affairs; to investigate student problems and participate in those decisions affecting students; to act in the best interests of the student body and university community; to provide an official voice for expressing student opinion; to provide a means whereby students can gain experience and training in responsible political participation; and to foster an awareness of the students' positions within campus, local, state, national, and international communities.
Student Government offices are located in Mendenhall Student Center. If you have any ideas, concerns, or suggestions you'd like to share with the SGA, or if you would like to become involved, come see us or call us at 328-4742. Make your voice heard.
