With the student body president's approval, the student government legislature has the power to appropriate money that is received from a portion of student fees. These funds are allocated by the legislature to various organizations that have legislatively approved constitutions. In addition, the legislature allocates funds to the executive branch of SGA for its own operation. The legislature is also charged by the constitution to be a forum for student views. During the year, various resolutions and bills are voted on by the legislature. After being introduced in the legislature, they are assigned to the proper committee within this body.
