Message from the
SGA President

Pirate Family:
It is time for you to truly get involved in your university and to be an active voice for your fellow students. At East Carolina University, our institution has vowed to make sure students are represented on all University Committees and to help make important decisions that affect the university.
These committees discuss issues that affect the students, faculty, and staff, but why is it important for YOU, as a student, to want to serve on a University Committee? By serving on one of these committees, you will have the opportunity to help advise the administration from a student perspective. In addition, you will take part in one of the initiatives that this university prides itself on; the shared governance between the students and the administration on these committees.
By taking on such a role, you are ensured to learn more about our great institution and what it has to offer. Not only will your involvement make a difference for the current students of this university, you will also be building foundations for students at ECU for the next 100 years!
Please take this opportunity to serve your university, while you “Continue to Enhance the Total Student Experience!”
