2009 National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)

3,000 Freshmen and 3,000 Seniors, selected randomly, have been invited to participate in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE).
The survey’s measure of student engagement is recognized as one important factor affecting overall educational effectiveness, retention, and accountability.

• Administered online by NSSE staff at Indiana University-Bloomington.
• Students will receive email messages from Dr. Chuck Rich, Associate Director of Institutional Effectiveness, sent by NSSE staff with survey instructions.
• Survey results help assess the student experience and make improvements.
• Student Affairs will use this information in their strategic planning and training initiatives.
• Results are confidential—participants are not identified with their responses.

Check email!  Two final reminders will be sent on March 25th and April 13th.  Students should recognize the importance of completing the survey, not only for their benefit, but also to help ECU officials address areas for academic and social improvement.

Students who complete the survey by April 20th will be entered into a random drawing for a chance to receive one of 10 Best Buy $100 Gift Cards!!!
