Change in Student Health Service
Appointments and Scheduling
August 18,2008, the Student Health Service will begin OPEN ACCESS and ONLINE APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING.
More appointments will be available
- Open Access means that you schedule your appointment on the day you want to be seen

- Only pap smears, physicals, allergy shots, massage therapy and Nutrition appointments will be made in advance.
- Appointments may be scheduled online beginning September 1st at 5am M-F by visiting https://shs.ecu.edu and following the prompts
- Appointments may continue to be scheduled by phone or in person at student health during normal business hours M-F
- Scheduling will continue until the appointments are full each day
- No Urgent Care – You will be able to schedule your urgent problems into the appointment system
- “Triage Care” will replace “urgent care” and will be available for immediate problems such as lacerations, possible fractures, allergic reactions and acute asthma

* Services after 5:00 p.m. and on weekends may incur an office visit charge.
If you need emergency care for an injury or illness that you feel can not wait, medical assistance is available at the Pitt County Memorial Hospital Emergency Department.
