"A Very Short, Fairly Interesting and Reasonably Cheap Book about Studying Leadership"  by Brad Jackson & Ken Parry

Facilitated by Dr. Jim McDonelle

This book will be the perfect accompaniment to anyone who wants to learn more about leadership in a short period of time.  The book touches on a short overview of various approaches to studying leadership and how those different approaches fit together.  With controversial ideas and funny stories, it covers topics that leaders will recognize from leadership experience and some new but equally important areas to challenge their thinking.

Meeting: Wednesdays from 12-1pm January 26th, February 2nd & February 9th.

"Outliers" -by Malcolm Gladwell

Facilitated by Dr. Todd Fraley

The New York Times best seller is a great read for those interested in learning more about leadership and achievement. The book is divided into two parts; opportunity and legacy and takes a closer look at how people became successful. Outliers examines stories of achievement and discusses examples from pop culture icons such as Bill Gates and the Beatles.

Meeting Times Wednesday March 16th, 23rd and 30th @ 3:30

A Seussian Leadership Reading Circle

Books: "Oh! The Places You'll Go" "Green Eggs and Ham" "The Lorax"

Caption: A Seussian Leadership Reading Circle: Lessons in Leadership from the genius Dr. Seuss' simple, yet timeless works of art. Who would have thought that from just one look, this little cat in the hat could bring us so much about leadership in a rhyming book? Dr. Seuss taught us about joys, rhymes, and laughter. But we're taking a deeper thought to the relation of his childlike lessons to acknowledge how we as adults can use them to become better leaders. "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."  -Dr. Seuss

Dates:February 10, 17, 24 from 12:30-1:30
