The mission of the East Carolina University Student Transit Authority is to provide transportation services, which are safe, dependable and cost effective to the University community, and to facilitate learning and involvement for student success thereby enhancing the quality of life in our community.

To carry out its mission, ECUSTA provides directly, or through arrangements with other organizations, the following services:

• Local fixed route and express bus service
• Door-to-door Safe Ride service
• Campus circulator service
• Campus connector service
• Airport shuttle service (PGV)
• Special event charter bus service
• Interior bus advertising space for purchase

Summer 2009 Schedules Now Available
Schedules, maps and a host of other important information is available for Summer 2009. Although we cover 100% of our regular semester service area, several routes have combined and operate on different schedules. Be sure to take a look so you know when to expect your bus.

Please note: some apartment complexes have chosen not to partner with ECU Transit to provide late night Pirate Express service to the downtown area over the summer. The following properties will NOT have Pirate Express service: Copper Beech, The Bellamy, and University Suites.
