The mission of the East Carolina University Student Transit Authority is to provide transportation services, which are safe, dependable and cost effective to the University community, and to facilitate learning and involvement for student success thereby enhancing the quality of life in our community.

To carry out its mission, ECUSTA provides directly, or through arrangements with other organizations, the following services:

• Local fixed route and express bus service
• Door-to-door Safe Ride service
• Campus circulator service
• Campus connector service
• Airport shuttle service (PGV)
• Special event charter bus service
• Interior bus advertising space for purchase

About ECUSTA
ECUSTA operates during the academic year, beginning the first day of class of each semester and summer school session. Service is free for students, staff and faculty; all you need to ride is your 1Card. Note that there is a reduced service area during the summer sessions. ECUSTA does not operate on holidays, reading days, or during school breaks. ECUSTA is an extension of the ECU campus, and everyone using ECUSTA must observe the policies and guidelines outlined in the Clue Book.

Need to travel outside of our service area?
Although ECU Transit can connect you with off campus housing, shopping, and dining essentials, the City of Greenville offers public transportation services to a broader area. GREAT city transit discount passes can be purchased for half-price at the Central Ticket Office in the Mendenhall Student Center with a valid ECU One Card.
