The ECU Elite Pirate is a premiere recognition program designed to honor the top student leaders at East Carolina University. Only 11 student leaders will be selected for this honor based on their academics, leadership, and community service. Selection will ensure a well-rounded representation of the student body. Completed applications with recommendations must be submitted by Friday, September 7th at 4 pm at 207 Mendenhall Student Center.
Each qualified applicant must participate in the Elite Pirate Interview Weekend (October 3rd& 4th). This weekend will include a social event and a personal interview with the selection committee. The nominees selected and their families will be invited to attend the induction ceremony where the 11 ELITE PIRATES will be announced. This ceremony will be on Friday, October 24th at the Hilton. The Elite Pirates will be required to participate in several activities and programs throughout the year.
“The Elite Pirates” selected will receive a university plaque, induction into “The Elite Pirate” Student Hall of Fame, a $350 leadership honorarium, and receive recognition with other campus/community leaders.
