The Media Board is composed mostly of students representing the major student organizations on campus. The board in its monthly meetings oversees the general operation of the student media, sets terms and policies, mediates disputes and hires the media heads. The Student Media Board also provides oversight and direction to the student newspaper (The East Carolinian), the student radio station (WZMB), a quarterly student minority magazine (Expressions), an annual literary magazine (Rebel) and a campus wide TV station (Channel 31).
