Message from the Chair
AhmedWelcome to ECU's Department of Construction Management homepage. Our program is housed under the College of Technology and Computer Science and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology classrooms and laboratory facilities. We celebrated our 25th anniversary two years ago and we are proud of the accomplishments of our alumni and students. We have a very dedicated body of fifteen full-time faculty members supported by qualified and experienced adjunct faculty who offer our students and our program a blend of expertise based on their broad industry experience and academic qualifications. Our program became the first accredited Construction Management programs in North Carolina, as rated by the American Council of Construction Education (ACCE), and enjoys an excellent reputation within the construction industry. We take pride in offering our undergraduate and graduate students a well-rounded education as well as an opportunity for professional development through various activities involving many professional organizations such as NAHB, AGC, and CMAA.

Our Department is fortunate to have a very active Industry Advisory Board which manifests its support by generously donating their time, expertise and other resources. Through the Board's involvement, students have an opportunity to learn more about the actual happenings in the industry as well as obtain advice on career placement and internship opportunities. The Industry Advisory Board's ongoing support helps us to grow and continually enhance our Department's standing and reputation.

If you are a prospective student thinking about pursuing a career in Construction Management at the undergraduate or graduate level, I urge you to visit us, meet with our faculty, and visit the department, the college and the university to get a first-hand glance at what we offer. You are welcome to call our office for any additional information.
