  Mission:

• To bring together engineering students in a residential environment that provides encouragement and support which lead to success in pursuit of an engineering degree.

  How this is Accomplished:

• By integrating the academic and residential life of the participants with special activities to teach strategies and skills for academic success, professional growth and personal development.

  What the ELC offers:

• Students within the ELC will be scheduled in similar classes during their first semester at ECU.  Student led tutoring and block scheduling guarantees that students will have a large network of peers from which to easily form study groups to ensure academic success.  Guest speakers, service learning events, teamwork and leadership exercises, and other activities throughout the year make certain that all engineering students are focused on academic and professional development.
