Two students from East Carolina University will participate this summer in a competitive internship experience with NASA through the Langley Aerospace Research Student Scholars Program.
Both students said the TECS Career Center and department faculty helped them learn about the opportunity. Dr. Krishnan Gopalakrishnan and Dr. Junhua Ding in computer science and Lee Toderick in the BSIT program were instrumental in the recommendations required for the applications, they said.
The design program emphasizes application of state of the art software, digitizing, and product realization/development equipment. In addition, there are many opportunities to gain work experience such as part-time and temporary jobs and co-op or internship positions.
The design program offers two concentration options:
A program that prepares individuals to assist architects in developing plans and related documentation and in performing architectural office services. It includes instruction in the following areas:
Mechanical Technology prepares individuals to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills in support of engineers engaged in the design and development phases of a wide variety of projects involving mechanical systems. The program includes instruction in the following areas:
