Event aims at aspiring medical students

GREENVILLE, N.C.   (Sept. 11, 2012)   —   A day-long educational event at East Carolina University will help students sharpen their skills as they prepare to apply for medical school.

The fourth annual Pre-Medical Conference will be Sept. 22 from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Brody Medical Sciences Building at 600 Moye Blvd. in Greenville.

Events include a question-and-answer session with medical students and hands-on simulation and laboratory work.

The fee is $10 for high school students, $15 for college students and $20 for parents and advisors. Registration is available online at http://snmapremed.eventbrite.com. Registration and payment are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14.
