Provide outstanding service and continued support of the growth, development, and operation of the Division of Health Sciences, offering quality service by professionals who are knowledgeable and dedicated.
Our Purpose
The Department of Administration and Finance, within the Division of Health Sciences, is responsible for all financial accounting and budgeting for all sources of funds (State, Medical Faculty Practice Plan, Contract, Indirect, and Special Funds), medical contract management, centralized management of depositary services, and purchasing activities of the Division of Health Sciences. In addition, this department is responsible for systems accounting.
As a Division level office, Administration and Finance supports and has Division-level approval authority for financial transactions for the Brody School of Medicine, College of Allied Health Sciences, College of Nursing and the Laupus Library. Total expenditures exceed $74 million annually in state funds.
There are over 340 active grant/contract accounts for funds totaling in excess of $18 million.
The Medical Faculty Practice Plan has over $132 million in total revenues and requires in excess of 1,000 separate accounts for control of the collection and expenditure activity of the clinical operations.
