Suzanne Martin Suzanne Martin
Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Life
Sue has spent 23 years in higher education administration, and began serving at ECU on June 2, 2003. She exemplifies innovative thinking, has a strong drive for excellence and a focus on service.
A native of upstate New York , Sue held leadership positions at Old Dominion University , the University of Michigan-Flint , and the University of Central Florida , prior to joining ECU. Sue holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and received her bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York
Brian Newton Brian Newton
Associate Director/Liaison to the School of Allied Health Sciences, School of Nursing, and College of Health & Human Performance
At the University of South Carolina, Brian earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's of education in student personnel services. He has over sixteen years of experience in career services and experiential education. Brian has assisted thousands of college graduates in making their transition from college to the world of work. Prior to arriving at ECU, he was the director of career services and experiential education at Barton College in Wilson, NC.
Catrina Davis Catrina Davis
Assistant Director/Liaison for the College of Education & Thomas Harriot College (Science Departments)
Catrina is a native of Chicago, and she joined the ECU family after earning both a Bachelor's degree in Business and a Master's degree in Education from Eastern Illinois University. She has been employed with East Carolina for nine years and has held previous positions on campus; in Campus Living she served as a Residence Hall Coordinator as well as in the Department of Human Resources where she served as the Staff Training and Development Specialist.
Jim McAtee Jim McAtee
Assistant Director/Liaison for the College of Fine Arts and Communication
Jim has several years experience in the business community and at the college level training and coaching executives and students to reach their potential. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Gardner Webb University. In addition, Jim has served as Vice President and President of NCCEA, a statewide Co-op and Internship organization consisting of community colleges and universities in North Carolina. He has lived on the East coast of the US for all his life, in Russia for a short time, and is excited to be serving the students, businesses and faculty of the College of Fine Arts and Communication.
Anna L. Moseley Anna Scarff
Assistant Director/Liaison to the College of Human Ecology and the Thomas Harriot College of Arts & Sciences
Anna earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Wake Forest University and a master's degree in counselor education from ECU. She has been with the ECU Career Center since 2003 when she worked as a graduate assistant while pursuing her graduate degree, focusing on career counseling in higher education. After briefly working as a guidance counselor for Edgecombe County Public Schools, Anna returned full-time to the Career Center in October 2005. She recently was trained as a Basic Awareness Facilitator for True Colors, and enjoys working with students of all ages.

Brad received a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's in Computer Science from East Carolina University. Prior to coming to The Career Center, Brad worked as a Research Associate for the Center for Wireless and Mobile Computing and as a Web Applications Developer for the Brody School of Medicine.
Sandy Coan Sandy Coan
Administrative Assistant
For ten years, Sandy served as an administrative secretary to government agencies in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and North Carolina. She spent ten years at George Mason University assisting the vice president of business affairs, the associate vice president and dean of student services, and the executive vice president of university advancement. Sandy has also worked for Inova Health Systems, Fairfax Hospital and ECU School of Medicine. She most recently was with ECU Student Life.
Kristen Etheridge Kristen Etheridge
Employer Relations Specialist
Kristen has been with East Carolina University for over 4 years now. She spent the majority of those 4 years working for the Brody School of Medicine where she worked as a Patient Access Representative in Pulmonary, Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine, General Medicine and Gastroenterology clinics.
Rhonda Sarmento Rhonda Sarmento
Grad. Assistant
Rhonda earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003. While an undergrad at UNC, Rhonda was a peer mentor for minority freshman and also did research in the field of cognitive psychology. She is in her first year as a Graduate Student in the Master’s of Industrial/Organizational Psychology program at East Carolina University. Upon obtaining her Master’s degree, Rhonda hopes to work in the Human Resources department for a major corporation.
Alicia Williams Alicia Williams

Alicia received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at East Carolina University. As an undergraduate at ECU Alicia was very involved with the ECU community as president of the East Carolina Gospel Choir for two consecutive years. As a graduate student pursuing a Master's in Social Work, Alicia hopes to continue to be an active voice in the ECU community, as well as the Greenville community.

Brittany received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from ECU in May 2007 and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Counselor and Adult Education, with an emphasis in higher education. As an undergraduate student, she was very involved with both the ECU and Greenville community. Brittany is very excited to be working with the School of Communication and is looking forward to a fantastic year.
Milton Cahoon Milton Cahoon
Grad. Assistant
Milton is from Creswell, NC and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in Political Science from North Carolina State University. He is pursuing a Master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology here at ECU and hopes to eventually obtain his PhD. Upon completion of his education, he wants to provide consultation services to organizations in the areas of personnel selection or training.
Helen Conaty Helen Conaty

Helen received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication from North Carolina State University in May of 2007. She is currently working on a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. At NC State, Helen was founder and served as Vice President of Philanthropy and Standards Chairperson for Pi Beta Phi;was involved with Lambda Pi Eta, a communications honor society; and mentored and tutored youth in Raleigh through the Loaves & Fishes organization. She is a member of the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association.
Kristin Sanderson Kristin Sanderson

Kristin Sanderson received a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Furman University. Kristin spent three years working in a therapeutic foster care agency in Greenville, South Carolina before coming to East Carolina University. Kristin is currently a first year graduate student pursuing a Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Kristin will be serving as the Graduate Assistant in the Student Employment Office at the Career Center for the 2007-2008 academic year.
Erin Kate McCarthy Erin Kate McCarthy

Erin Kate is originally from Saratoga Springs, New York and began her B.A. in English and Communication at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts before transferring to East Carolina University in September 2005, where she received her B.A. in Communication, Minor in English and concentration in Public Relations upon graduation in May 2007. Erin interned for Tiffany & Company at the flagship location in New York, is a member of Pi Upsilon Omega sorority, and was event planner and speaker coordinator for PRSSA. In addition to currently pursuing her Masters in Health Communication at ECU, Erin is a tutor for the athletics Department and is anticipating graduation in May 2008.
Abigail Parker Abigail Parker

Abigail received her Bachelors degree in Social Work from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2007. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Social Work here at East Carolina. As an undergraduate Abigail was a member of the East Carolina Volleyball team before transferring to the University of North Carolina at Pembroke to be a part of their volleyball program. Along with being involved with the athletics Abigail as had the opportunity to be very active in the community and hopes to still contribute to the ECU community as well as the surrounding areas.
Karly Hudson Karly Hudson

Karly Hudson is a recent graduate of North Carolina State University where she obtained her B.S. in Biological Sciences. Karly is currently studying Molecular Biology at East Carolina University in pursuit of a M.S. Degree. In her undergraduate career, Karly worked as an individual tutor for university students and supplemental instruction leader in addition to taking several courses in science education and tutoring in the community.
