Housing
Building
a sense of community is essential for our incoming freshmen EC Scholars.
Consequently, all EC Scholars are required to
reside in Garrett Hall for their first year. In subsequent years, EC Scholars may
remain in the Honors College residence or choose alternate housing. Research indicates that bringing together
students who share similar academic abilities and motivation will help ensure
an excellent start to a student’s college career. The living-learning
experience offered by the Honors College creates a student cohort that will
become a foundation of support for each other while at East Carolina University
and will help students maintain friendships beyond graduation. For more details
about Garrett Hall or the housing process, please visit the
Campus Living Office.
