The program is supported by the Division of Academic Affairs and the Office of Emerging Academic Initiatives (EAI). The project is overseen by the Director (1/2 time) who serves as the liason beween institutions, the public school system officials, and others.

Faculty

ECU provides faculty for the program that are innovative thinkers and stellar teachers in their academic fields. Faculty members are selected by the Dean and Chair of the appropriate College. The Faculty redesigns their course, along with assistance from instructional designers, to fit into the Second Life virtual environment.

North Carolina Public Schools

The program is supported in Pitt County Schools by the Superintendent and the Director of Career and Technical Programs in Lenoir County by the Superintendent and the Director of Secondary Instruction. Resources within each high school are also available for technical support, facilitators, and online counselors.
