An environmentally-conscious university, ECU received a ComputerWorld Laureate award for its 'green IT' strategies. The university's College of Allied Health Sciences boasts origin of the Cochlear Implant Program and the SpeechEasy Stuttering Device. ECU's Leo W. Jenkins Cancer Center on the campus of the Brody School of Medicine offers patients the CyberKnife robotic radiosurgery system.
