In 2006, Chancellor Ballard established a Diversity Transition team, soon known as the Chancellor’s Diversity Council (CDC), in an effort to maintain the momentum around diversity initiatives at East Carolina University.

The mission of the Chancellor’s Diversity Council (CDC) at East Carolina University is to serve as an advisory body to Chancellor and the Chief Diversity Officer.
