The ECU Office of Institutional Diversity
Treasure Trove
Purpose
The treasure trove is a collaborative of organized groups and individuals who promote diversity education, engagement, and cross-cultural learning throughout the ECU campus community. The purpose of this pilot program is to offer support and networking to faculty, staff and students as well as assist with funding and co-sponsorship of diversity programs and events.
Members of the treasure trove are ECU faculty, staff, students and constituent groups who act as diversity advocates. Support, networking and funds are specifically designed to provide support for innovative and creative approaches to engaging a broad cross-section of the University community in issues related to diversity.
*The Treasure Trove is not intended to provide support for on-going programs, research projects, individual projects, travel, salaries, or any other activities that are not diversity related. Prospective members sign a diversity advocate agreement which constitutes membership in the Treasure Trove. When requesting funds, Treasure Trove members must submit an application at least 30 days prior to the event/program. Members participate in the Treasure Trove at the discretion of the Office of Institutional Diversity.
Meetings: Meetings of the entire Treasure Trove will be held quarterly as a networking function. Meetings of the Treasure Trove chairs will be held bi-monthly.
