Career Development and Leadership Endowment ($125,000): The Career Development and Leadership Center (CDLC) through ECU's College of Technology and Computer Science (TECS) was established to give students the opportunity to build skills that yield well-rounded graduates to become competent and effective leaders in their chosen field. The Career Development and Leadership Center offers practical skills and real world experiences to put ECU students' first-class education into action in order to promote positive change locally, nationally, and globally. This center supports an environment where students can gain professional experience in the workplace through paid and unpaid internships, formal and informal co-op (paid), capstone courses, volunteer work, and work in service learning courses. The overall goal of the center is to ensure students are ready for graduation, have real-life experience in their respective fields, and can effectively secure a full time position upon graduation. This approach will ensure students are gaining the leadership strategies and skills needed and required by employers before they graduate from ECU.
