The NC-MSEN Pre-College Program, coordinated by Dr. Bernice Campbell, is designed to broaden the pool of students graduating from high school prepared to pursue mathematics and science at the university level and move into careers in science, mathematics, technology and engineering. The program offers rigorous science- and mathematics- based academic enrichment classes and activities to students in grades 6-12.

Selected 6th and 7th graders from eastern North Carolina entered the program in June 2007 and will participate in school-year and summer experiences until high school graduation. Additional 6th graders will be recruited into the program each year.
