To assist East Carolina University faculty, staff & students develop technology companies and take products and services to market in collaboration with public and private regional organizations. And, to assist in building a broad regional support system for entrepreneurs that includes funding, training, education, networking and building sustainable assets. Our efforts will foster innovation throughout the business community of eastern NC while providing practical experience for ECU students in an entrepreneurial environment.
“I can’t say enough about the importance of the EI to both Shure Foods and the ECU community in general. Among other things the EI was instrumental in bringing Shure Foods together with the North Carolina Biotechnology Center which in turn not only kept our dream alive but laid the foundation for a great deal of credibility with the investment community. The EI provides a much needed bridge between the fantastic ideas being born at ECU and the business community.”-Wm. Gabe Dough, Founder-CEO, Shure Foods, Inc
“The Entrepreneurial Initiative has been invaluable in my search for resources. Their staff and students have helped this “academic researcher” toward real world application of our intellectual property. This is one of the most forward thinking programs on our campus.”
