ALLEN PRIDGEN MA 1968 Pridgen is coordinator of the English program at Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Virginia. His book Walker Percy's Sacramental Landscapes: The Search in the Desert was published n 2000 by Susquehanna University Press. ...DARRELL HURST BA 1965; MA 1967 Hurst has taught at Blue Ridge Community College, in Weyers Cave, VA, for over 30 years; he is currently chair of the Department of English. Among his many honors, Hurst has received a Distinguished Alumni Award and honorary membership in the ECU chapter of Phi Kappa Phi; an Outstanding Faculty Award of the State Council for Higher Education of Virginia;and an excellence award from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD), given in recognition of his "exceptional contributions to learning and teaching at BRCC." |
