...KAREN C. BLANSFIELD BA 1977; MA 1979 Blansfield is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the department of Dramatic Art at UNC Chapel Hill. She is the author of a book about O. Henry, Cheap Rooms and Restless Hearts: A Study of Formula in the Urban Tales of William Sydney Porter,as well as many scholarly articles, essays, and reviews in books, magazines, journals, and newspapers. ...KAYE WALKER BS 1977; MA 1981; CAS 1984 Walker is Vice President of Corporate Communication at Teletraining Systems, Inc., where she manages the fellowship program for teacher training and the Corporate Showcase Sponsor program. ...RICK ATKINSON BA 1974 Atkinson is currently working on his Liberation Trilogy, a narrative history of the American Army in North Africa, Italy, and Western Europe in World War II. He is currently an associate professor of English. He is the author of two volumes of fiction: Watching TV with the Red Chinese (a novel) and Down In The Flood (stories). ...KENNETH WEST MA Ed 1971; BS 1958 West lives in Fremont, NC. In 1996 he retired after completing thirty-one years of service with the NC State Government. His position upon retirement was Chief of Division 1 in Adult Probation and Parole. |
