Rayburn works as an editor for Campbell Alliance, a management consulting
firm in Raleigh that specializes in the pharmaceutical industry. She
is responsible for editing all client deliverables, proposals, and marketing
materials for two separate practice areas at the company. She also evaluates
the writing samples of prospective employees and ensures that Campbell's
consultants and editors adhere to company conventions by revising and
maintaining the style guide. She married Eric Linton in April 2003;
they live in Cary NC.

on Lake Ontario.

Jakubowski won the Associated Press Senator Sam Ervin Award for
Investigative Journalism in 2001 while working at the Daily Reflector,
in Greenville. Her articles and photographs also have appeared in the
Farmville Enterprise, the Chowan Herald, the Elizabeth City Daily
Advance, North Carolina Literary Review, Tar River Poetry, and Our
State magazine. Jakubowski currently is pursuing her MA in
International Studies with a concentration in Security Studies at ECU.
She was awarded a Boren National Security Education Program Graduate
Fellowship to study Arabic at the American University in Cairo, Egypt,
beginning in January, 2007. After serving five years as the director
of public information for Edenton-Chowan Schools, Jakubowski recently
accepted a position as an editor with the Defense Intelligence Agency
based in Washington, DC.

Eastern Wake News. He lives in Knightdale NC with his wife Melissa
and their son Willem.

Langston is working on her PhD in English, Composition and Rhetoric,
at the University of Rhode Island. She teaches freshman writing courses
and scientific and technical writing at URI. After graduation from ECU,
she moved to Newport, RI, and has worked as the director of the Writing
Center for Salve Regina University. Her freelance technical writing
work includes writing grants for non-profit organizations as well as
re-writing Campbell Universitys Extended Campus Faculty Manual.
She completed the Student Handbook for extended campuses before leaving,
NC. Kathy resides in Newport, RI, about a block from the Narragansett
bay, with her husband and three children.
