The Children's Folklore Review is published twice yearly by the Children's Folklore Section of the American Folklore Society. CFR is the only journal devoted to examining children's traditions, featuring articles on oral folklore, customary practices, and material creations. Occasionally, CFR publishes articles on folklore and children's literature. Regular features include book reviews, Children's Folklore Section meeting minutes, and notes and announcements. CFR has its own ISSN number, and articles that appear in the journal are indexed in the annual MLA Bibliography and other major bibliographies. Annual subscriptions are $10 US, $15 Foreign. The North Carolina Literary Review is published annually by the English Department, East Carolina University, and the North Carolina Literary and Historical Association. Winner of numerous awards and citations, including the Modern Language Association's Best New Journal in 1994, NCLR publishes poetry, fiction, and non-fiction prose by and interviews with North Carolina writers, and articles and essays about North Carolina literature, history, and culture. Upcoming issues will feature special sections on NC Science Fiction (2001) and Flight in NC (2003). Subscriptions are $20 for two years or $36 for four years. Tar River Poetry recently celebrated its 20th year with a "best of" retrospective, reprinting poems from the past forty issues. A nationally ranked magazine of verse (the Dictionary of Literary Biography listed it as one of the top ten poetry magazines in the country), TRP publishes interviews, reviews, and poetry by emerging writers as well as Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award winners. Past contributors include William Stafford, Sharon Olds, Leslie Norris, William Matthews, Louis Simpson, Betty Adcock, John Logan, A. Poulin Jr., Paula Rankin, A.R.
