Julie Fay four poetry collections are Blue Scorpion (Truman State UP, 2005), The Woman Behind You (Pitt Poetry Series, 1998), Portraits of Women, and In Every Mirror. She is co-editor of the forthcoming Watching TV Off the Back of a Firetruck: Voices from the Floyd Flood in Eastern North Carolina (Crossroads Press), a collection of community-based poems, essays, and interviews written by victims of Hurricane Floyd. Her work has appeared in anthologies and textbooks which include Poetry Daily Anthology, Breadloaf Anthology of New American Poets, Poems and Sources, A Formal Feeling Comes: Women's Formal Poetry, and Images of Women in Literature, and in journals such as Poetry, Shenandoah, Ploughshares, The Women's Review of Books, Kenyon Review, and many others. A 2004-2005 Senior Fulbright Research-Lecturer in France, she was the 2000 Sarah Mathews Self Distinguished Writer in Residence at Converse College.
