William Hallberg's first novel, The Rub of the Green (recently republished by Ballantine) was a Book of the Month Club selection and was named a New York Times Notable Book. He is the editor of the short story anthology Perfect Lies: A Century of Golf Stories, and author of The Soul Of Golf, a travel memoir. His fiction and nonfiction have appeared in Southern Review, Hudson Review, Ploughshares, Western Humanities Review, Kansas Quarterly, Iowa Review, Denver Quarterly, Golf Digest, Golf Magazine, and others; his work has been published in Great Britain, Australia, and Italy.
